Call for Innovative Ideas

The Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan is pleased to invite Expression of Interest (EoI) from interested Bhutanese individuals and/or registered IT firms to transform the country's financial technology (FinTech) landscape, products and services through innovative ideas and solutions to create new avenues in the financial ecosystem, to offer benefits through improved access to financial services, to increase the efficiency of existing processes and to create new business opportunities to support digital economy.
The online application process will be open until 20th November 2020. Once the deadline is closed, the applications will be assessed by an evaluation committee and the selected applicants will be informed accordingly.
Successful applicants will require to develop and test their FinTech solution(s) in a sandbox environment and will benefit from the following:
• learning by doing
• guidance from domain and regulatory experts
• regulatory relaxation wherever applicable
• review and feedback from customers and domain experts
• access to the FinTech innovation resources during the sandboxing
• access to FinTech innovation grant support
